aight, so i've been keeping up with Pharrell & with a little patience, Kid Cudi has finally revealed the compilation he's doing. the joint is gonna be dope because its gonna have everyone that he had on the album -- & then everyone that he couldn't have on the album, including Robin Thicke.

the date & title haven't been released but hes gonna have Snoop, Kings of Leon, Kenna, Travis Barker, Clipse & he wants to get Green Day on that joint. i'm not too much of a Cudi fan or whatever but Cudi can write a song. hes really melodic & i love anything with a solid melody & sometype of creative sense.

he's been in Miami for like 2 weeks with Pharrell & Chad & i know they're gonna be doing work.

i got ahold of Rihanna's new album & i wasn't impressed at all. then i got ahold of her last album that every female seems to love & compared.. "Rated R" is trash yo. she talked all that game, talked sooo much trash indirectly about Chris Brown & that her album was gonna be saying something & it aint say sht but "cut me the hell off."

i love her voice & her singing skills but ummm, she showed no newness in this album. TheDream really didn't show his best writing skills either. stay behind that desk as that VP.. don't do that no mo'.

i miss my grandma alot & for the last 6 months or so, i really wish she was here. she was always an easy woman to please.. always smiling & looking at the positive in any situation; never really let things worry her too much. i use to be like her.. & i really don't know what happened between the car accident i had & now. nowadays, its all a blur. everything is just a complete.. blur. i can hear myself breathing, i can hear my heart pumping, i can feel & sense myself blinking my eyes -- but in the end, its all one big blur.

i've never really understood why things happen to people. most say cause & effect; others say its God. i truly believe none of it sometimes. *shrugs* thats just an honest opinion.. i see soooo many people developing a power of worship for something that they've never seen before & become consumed in this "new birth" of life, where they can't be told any different. i witness some of the most ridiculous things from those same people, amazingly. some people that use to be around me, aren't around me anymore & i made that decision with no warning & i'm now being questioned on those decisions by those people. i owe no one any explanation for anything that choose to do; no one sure as hell gives me any explanation good enough to justify themselves on the things they do, choose or say, so why is it that i have to?

what makes people place themselves above others, just because they have engulfed certain fruits that were ripe for THEM at the time & not the person next to them? what makes one human believe that leverage weighs more than common respect for the next human? who really has a say-so in who's better than the next person? who's to say that we all go to Heaven or Hell when everything turns black? why is it that people that say "i've been losing my mind lately.." get treated less than? is it because the person receiving that statement refuses to try & understand why they've been losing their mind or is it that they just don't care? is it because the receiving person of the statement won't truly understand or relate? like, these questions have yet to be answered in a form of purity to me. everyone has always given me their opinion but no one has ever given me the facts. the truth.

people continuously come to me or get around me & tell me "..yeah, the Lord has been dealing with me.." - no, thats your conscience. one of the funniest things to me is the fact that i can tell you what someone is gonna say or do before they do or say it & you won't believe me.. WHICH IS COOL, because you're not obligated to believe anything that i submit to you.. but what happens is, it comes to pass.. then you're looking for me, trying to figure out how i know what i know. something else i get in return are people that consider me to be crazy or i just don't know what i'm talking about. in the beginning, it was irritating but now i look at it with a smile & keep moving forward.

what i don't understand is, how can you really be placed on high for the amount of knowledge you hold or consume - but you're not using it.. how can one person try to buckle another person into something that may not be for them? why are there so many men & women making a mold of themselves & trying to fit everyone else in that mold, when its not EVER gonna be able to fit anyone else BUT the person it was made from? why should i honestly be paying attention to someone who isn't paying attention to me? once again, numerous questions.

lately i've put in this time table of decisions or choices & its been getting to me because the choices i HAVE to make aren't the choices i WANT to make.. but that sounds like everyday life, right? the twist comes with me feeling like i'm no longer accepted as someone who has grown but as someone who HADN'T grown, if that makes sense. i've always been judged or classified by my exterior & how i carry myself. i've come in contact with people that carry themselves in similar ways as well as those who carry themselves 180 degrees opposite. over time, people that saw that they couldn't control me or turn me into a direction THEY wanted me to be or be in, turned on me, whether it be slowly or immediately. i've gotten the treatments where people slowly drift away & speak from a distance & wanna call it "love". i call it fakery.

so i'm sitting in a position now where, i can stand up & voice my problems, concerns & misunderstandings with a few people & KNOW that they will look at me as the person being WRONG - or i keep what i have on my mind/heart to myself & know that what i have to say now will never be accepted or respected; that goes for anything.. hard sht to swallow & digest too.. but somehow, i'm able to do it. somehow, i've always managed to be bent but never broken.. but it seems like the harder i try to repel against those who despise me, the more pressure i feel on this back of mine. honestly, i wanna give up on everything - but giving up has never been in my blood.

in the end i say that to say this - silence is golden; true colors never fade. peace & love.

i've always loved BMW's & i've always looked German made cars because they're REAL CARS. the engines are damn near invincible, haha.

but last week i seen a BMW that i never seen before: a 2009 BMW Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo.. the damn SERIES NAME is even sexy as hell.

4.4 V8, twin turbo, maxing out just a little over 500 horses once the foot is to the floor. most BMWs do about 300 or so, depending on the wear & tear, year & series.. this joint? monster. joint got over 700lbs of torque once it hits 3000rpms or more. WHAT?? no cop could catch this joint if it tried. it would be trying to catch a dude on a 1000 [for those who don't know, thats motorcycle talk, lol].

this car is just purely ridiculous, in an exquisite & delectable way.. just wait yo.. just... wait.

when i got "Love Is Real Vol. 3" earlier this year, i found out who A Race Of Angels really was & i've been a fan ever since. i got the "broadcast no.1" album & can't stop bumping it.. its like an immediate release from this world yo. they make some incredible music.

its like someone took a big jar & covered me with it so nothing with delusional or deceptive minds or intentions can penetrate.. i wish they'd produce for Lupe Fiasco & Andre 3000; i think that would make an extraordinary set of collaborations.

so Wale's debut studio album comes out tomorrow [Nov. 10], after it was pushed back from an October 20th release date after he announced at the MTV VMA's that he was going on tour with Jigga.

Wale's a dope ass lyricist in my opinion & being that i live 4 hours away from DC, he's reppin' DMV hard. now for those who DON'T know & think that DMV is just something DCheads say to rep nothing BUT DC, it means "DC, Maryland, Virginia". its a shoutout to all of us since we neighbor each other so closely.

i got a chance to finally hear "Attention Deficit" & thats what the hell i had - a lack of attention after maybe the 5th or 6th track. out of 14 tracks, only 3 stood out & said "Wale". the rest of the album was just too commercial. he has a mixtape out that could passed for his album, imma be honest. "A Mixtape About Nothing" could have passed for his album & thats sad. thats what happens to these newcomers - they get raped by labels & told how to do their music. you can clearly hear a difference in flow, delivery & content between "A Mixtape About Nothing" [which actually WAS about something] & "Attention Deficit".

now, if Mark Ronson really was the executive producer behind Wale's album like its been seen & slated, then i'm really disappointed with Mark Ronson. he's one of the most creative producers i know, one whom i'm inspired by to do other things, & THATSSSS what you're giving to the public to listen to? "Pretty Girls" wasn't even an "all-that" record. i hear more people bumpin' "Beautiful Bliss" & "Mama Told Me" than anything & THOSE are 2 out of the 3 that are acceptable songs off the album. even with "Beautiful Bliss", J. Cole made the song! *kanye shrug - so what if i said it?

the production was expected to be way more uptempo & heavy. yeah, you're from an area where go-go is hot - dude, everyone doesn't like go-go - i know i don't. you can incorporate that in certain tracks but not every track; I WISH JUST BLAZE WOULDA BEEN THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER TO BE QUITE HONEST WITH YOU ALL! Justin Blaze & The Blazettes. "Attention Deficit" woulda been crack. hell, even DJ Toomp woulda been next on the list. it just wasn't "Wale" to me & alotta people agree with me.

in comparison to the other freshmen with albums out [Kid Cudi & Asher Roth], Wale's album is the bottom spot. the only reason i believe Asher Roth's album didn't do well as it should was because he came out with a single that wasn't heavy enough for EVERYONE & then dropped the album too soon. he shoulda built a better buzz. Kid Cudi lacks content but Cudi can write songs & Cudi is himself. not saying Wale or Roth aren't but its just something about Kid Cudi that even I'VE grown to enjoy. "Man On The Moon: The End Of Day" takes the top slot for best freshman album of the year. "Asleep In The Bread Aisle" is next.

"Attention Deficit" [in my opinion] wasn't what it was suppose to be so imma gonna recognize "A Mixtape About Nothing" as the official album from Wale. at the same time, not many hot lyricists come outta the mid-Atlantic region & make it to the point where they can go on tour & drop an official studio album.. so not in a sense of pity but in a sense of support you as well as myself, should still go out & cop "Attention Deficit".... & maybe never open it. hahaha. jk, that was rude.

WaxPoetics is a bimonthly music mag dedicated to vintage and contemporary jazz, funk, soul, hip-hop, blues and of course R&B. if you're someone who likes samples (like me), this magazine is build & created off the sense & term of "Diggin' In The Crates". when i found out about this mag, i was in North Carolina trying to find out where 9th Wonder's studio was so i could maybe meet Little Brother, hahaha! shout out to the 919 & everyone that loves real hip-hop & its origins.

GUP (Guide to Unique Photography) is a magazine that i've always kept an eye on & get alotta ideas from as far as photography goes. its like i learn something new every issue.

i learned today that alotta these second grade cameras (cameras that are a level under SLRs) are pretty much all made the same.. the only difference is the lens curve & how much each camera lets in light to develop the picture a certain way to be digitized. other than that, they're all the same. i also found out (finally) who the creators are --- & just like anything great as hell, they're a few white guys who've been friends since the Stone Age (what i call the 60's).

all in all, i think imma finally subscribe to either the newsletters or the magazine itself.

if you know anything about hip-hop, you better know about Mobb Deep. alotta people are like "Ace, you're the only nigga i know that listens to Mobb Deep.." - thats because they were real.. notice i said "were" - i dunno what happened around 2001. smh.

in the 90's, Mobb Deep was all i was pumping forreal outta my CD player, along with Souls of Mischief, Tribe Called Quest, Timbaland & Pharcyde. Prodigy was waaayyyy more ill with his words than when he got older. it was prolly the cocaine he was addicted to at one point. smh. Havoc was & always will be the slacker but his production was always ill - thennnn they met Alchemist. classic.

8900 vs. 8520

aight, so i've been peeping the news on the Blackberry 8520 & certain things that it can & can't due so i decided to compare that joint to the 8900. both are candidates for purchase because i need a new damn phone & a Blackberry would be a better look for me in the long run.

so - the 8900 FIRST OFF, has a bigger screen. the resolution is 480x360 & its LCD, which pretty dope for a Blackberry. 3.2 megapixel camera on the joint, which is better than my Sidekick LX's joint. its got Wi-Fi support on the joint too, just as the 8520 does. what got me was that the 8900 supports 65,000 colors yo - that means i can email designs to clients or receive email packages from people that have pictures that they wanna incorporate in a design & not have to be fooled in coloring when i open it up on a computer -- which happens alot on this shitty ass Sidekick. yeah, the screen is LCD but the Sidekick LX doesn't support alotta colors.. i did my homework. then i found out the music/audio formatting & what the 8900 supports: 3gp, WAV, MIDI, AMR-NB, G711u/A, GSM610, PCM, MP3, AAC/AAC+/eAAC+, WMA9/10 Standard/Pro --- i can send & receive music from my phone from artists that i work with in ANY FORMAT & then bounce it to my computer unharmed.. i can't do that with the LX. xO!

the joint has GPS on it everything. the talk time is close to about 6 hrs but i don't stay on a phone call longer than an hour, unless its wifey, & even then we text alot, haha! =) the standby time is dope though - 15days.. so if i just let my phone sit, that btch won't fully die for 2 weeks.. fckin amazing.

now - the 8520 - the screen is SMALLER & the camera is the same quality as my Sidekick.. major deduction as Madea would say. the screen is 320x240, but its still LCD. with the screens being the sizes that they are, that means the phone is bigger too. the 8900 won that battle already. this joint only supports AAC-LC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB, MP3, WMA9 (.wma/.asf), WMA9 PRO/WMA 10, AAC-LC audio formats.. not the same as what the 8900 supports. another -- major deduction. i can still send designs on this joint with no problem with colors, as well as receiving pictures & being able to see everything full throttle - but i can't receieve a WAV file & be able to hook it up RIGHT AT A STUDIO & go right into recording. so i lose.

its got GPS & all that on it as well; the talk time is close to 5 hours but the standby time is a couple days more than the 8900 at 17days.

they BOTH hook up & can run off the same GPRS navigation network with T-Mobile so thats a plus. if they didn't support that network then it would be no reason to have either of these wons.

all in all, it looks like imma be coppin' me a Blackberry Curve 8900 soon. don't know when but i will. buhhhleeee dat!
